Join our HR Services team, which supports over 4,400 employees and  managers across 16 European countries. In this role, you’ll work closely with our experienced team and trusted payroll partners to ensure smooth HR and payroll operations. This role is based in Barcelona, Spain. Agilent do not provide relocation package for this role.

Tasks

  • Work with external payroll vendors and partners to ensure accurate,  timely, and compliant payroll delivery and reporting for Germany.

  • Process monthly payrolls according to the payroll cycle and company standards.

  • Prepare and provide payroll inputs to external providers, ensure payroll outputs control and validate accuracy.

  • Coordinate taxes, social charges, pensions, and insurance payments.

  • Resolve complex payroll issues in collaboration with HR, Finance, IT, and vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), data privacy  regulations (New Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP, GDPR), and  company policies.

  • Maintain and document payroll procedures and support process improvements.

  • Represent HR Services Germany in projects and provide training to new team members.

  • Develop and/or deliver training related to HR and payroll.

  • Build strong working relationships with external payroll vendors  and internal departments while effectively managing vendor partnerships  and ensuring accountability to service level agreements.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources and/or Finance preferred, with  typically 6+ years of experience in a Payroll Specialist role.

  • Fluent written and spoken German and English; other language skills are a plus.

  • Expertise in payroll and HR processes, systems, and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

  • Excellent time management and ability to troubleshoot customer inquiries under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to support HR managers across multiple countries.

  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and data privacy standard.


On a personal level, you possess great problem solving / analytical  skills, and you are eager to learn about new software technology,  instruments, applications, and consumables. You stay up to date on legal  requirements for HR and payroll processing in Germany. You have  communication/ interpersonal skills to interact at various levels, and  you strive to provide excellent customer support. You enjoy both working  within a team and autonomously.
